Guest: Trent Gander. Gun Rights versus Gun Control. "Understanding Violence and Its Tools." Lona Currie and Eric McCoy

Trent Gander joins us today who works in the firearms industry.

He is working on a personal project currently referred to as "Understanding Violence and Its Tools."

He believes that violence is a hugely misunderstood topic.

It is an interesting time with the mass shootings. The recent shooting at the Texas Elementary School brought back the debate on rights versus control. Texas is probably not the best example to use to say that gun control would have no impact on gun violence since Texas reduced requirements for 18 year old’s prior to this shooting. The shooter was eighteen and did buy it legally. Could something have been different if there were stricter gun laws and could they have saved lives? Possibly but we will never really know. Cause and effect are difficult to prove on either side.

Walk a mile in my shoes looks at arguments and do they make sense. Does the protection of life create any conflict between the second amendment or do you believe the second amendment helps protect life? Why do people fight for one amendment and not for others which are violated all of the time?
