Episode 16: Three Deaths That Are Saving Lives

I have been recently working on another thing that is very important to me. Giving a voice to those we have lost.

I work in the substance abuse field and have for almost 2 decades. Most of the people I work with either have parents that love them, some are married with a spouse that loves them or some have children that need them.

Drug overdose can be right around the corner if people use. Fentanyl is what is killing many people. The hospital version of it puts it at around 80-100 times more powerful than morphine. Check this out for those that aren’t aware of this. Fentanyl has different analogues with car-Fentanyl being about 100 times more powerful than hospital version and 10,000 times more powerful than morphine.

I don’t care how strong of a tolerance you have is, you take a good dose of that, you won’t even know and you won’t survive. This isn’t a joke. I did an episode on high while clean where I talked about this. I titled it they want you dead.

The greatest tragedy in this is the families that have to deal with the loss. Please don’t make a parent bury their child.
