I have a story that I want to share about a patient and a doctor. We have great doctors out there who are looking out for the best interest of their patients. But That isn’t who I am talking about today.

I educate people on safety when it comes to medications. I even inform them that they want to make sure that their doctor is looking out for them. Don’t be a typical drug user where someone says to take this and you just pop it into your mouth without understanding what it is.

I personally hear a story at least 3 or 4 times a weak of another person dying that either myself or a client or a student knows. It sometimes starts to wear you down.

Just because you are being prescribed a medication from a doctor who again we define as an expert doesn’t always mean it is safe. It doesn’t mean that it can’t kill you.

The Hot topic today is be informed so you can think for yourself. If you have a doctor who is giving you a sedative hypnotic for anxiety and telling you to take it daily, get a second opinion.

Pleasure understand the synergistic effects of combining depressants and how dangerous it can be. If you see a doctor that prescribes medications for any psychiatric problems without any assessments or evaluations, find another doctor.
