January of 2018, Cesar would be hit head-on by a drunk driver. His car was spun 180 degrees toward oncoming traffic, where a big rig hit him and dragged him leaving him encased in a pile of twisted metal. He had severe brain injuries, his right arm was paralyzed, his femur had snapped in two, his face was shattered, and he spent months learning how to breathe, eat, walk, and talk all over again.
